7. STORAGE

Before storing the generator for a long period of inactivity,
the following operations must be carried out to safeguard
the integrity of the generator:

-

Remove the spark plug and pour 5 cm

3

 engine oil

into the combustion chamber. With the aid of the
self-winding cord let the engine turn a few times so
that the oil can spread to grease the cylinder and
piston, and then remount the spark plug.

Empty out the tank and the carburettor removing all
the petrol.

-

Change the engine oil

-

Clean the air filter

-

Clean the outside of the generator, removing all dust
and impurities.

-

Cover the generator with a nylon sheet and store in
a dry and ventilated place.

8.  SCRAPPING

At the end of its lifetime the generator must be taken to
official scrapyards.

 

 Do not dispose of the generator

at household refuse disposal sites, as many of its
parts are polluting.
