Battery-powered berry picker
• Battery-powered wild berry picker. Operating voltage 18V. Battery: 18V; 2.0
Ah; Li-ion. Battery life ten hours fully charged. Works with Makita 18V compati-
ble battery packs.
• The berry picker is intended for picking wild berries. Use of the product for
any other purpose will limit the warranty and prevent safe use.
• Only people over the age of 12 and above the height of 150 cm may use the
picker.
• Providing the device for any other use must be overseen by a responsible
supervisor.
• The device has a 12-month warranty. The warranty only applies to intended
use.
• The device is CE-marked.
Intended use and possible restrictions
• The berry picker is designed to be only used to pick wild forest berries (bil-
berries and lingonberries). The picker and container of the product are made
with food-grade plastic.
• The berry picker is used as depicted in image 3. The berries collected in the
container are poured out by tilting the device upside down as depicted in
image 4.
• The collector drum of the device is stopped by pressing the button to allow
for pouring the berries out of the container.
• Using the device for any other purpose than collecting wild berries will
damage the device and result in hazards.
Instructions related to the working environment
The berry picker can be used in normal, typical berry-picking weather condi-
tions. The device uses generally well-known batteries. The safe charging and
use of the battery must comply with generally well-known safety precautions.
Measures before first use
The device is assembled for use in accordance with images 1 and 2.
NOTE! The battery must be charged before first use using the charger provided.
Charging time approx. 2.5 hours.
Commissioning
The device is ready to use as soon as the battery has been charged and the
device has been assembled in accordance with the images.
NOTE! Adjust the shaft to a sufficient length to prevent the collecting spikes
from getting caught in vegetation. This is important to ensure streamlined
picking in the right working posture.
Instructions in case of faults and defects
Carefully practice using the device to ensure that you are able to start and stop
the collector drum in a controlled manner before starting the actual picking.
In the event of any faults, check the connection between the power cord and
the battery holder and the charge of the battery.
Controlled movements to and fro will make operating the picker safe and
comfortable.
Cleaning, maintenance and storage
The berry collector drum and container can be rinsed with running water or
cleaned otherwise. Do not use a pressure washer, as it might damage the pro-
tection of the device’s electric motor. Do not submerge the device in water.
User protection against residual risk
Operate the device carefully to avoid any danger to other people.
Warranty
The device is manufactured carefully and quality-tested at the factory. Howev-
er, if the device you have purchased has a material, installation or manufactur-
ing defect, it is rectified based on our warranty either by repairing with no extra
cost or by replacing the damaged item with a new one. The warranty period
is 12 months from the date of purchase. The warranty is valid with a purchase
receipt stating the name of the reseller, identifying data of the product and
date of purchase. Any wear caused by use or resulting defects are not covered
by the warranty. Nor does the warranty cover faults resulting from use not in
compliance with the user manual. Please contact the reseller store in matters
concerning warranty.

The product may be recycled at generally accepted recycling points.

The opening of the container can be adjusted to
face upward by opening the adjustment screw.
The position is locked into place by tightening
the screw.
The container opening position may need to be
