Automatic Low Power Indication when [OFF]
The unit has automated battery status indications to indicate a low
battery. When the Sea Marshall AU9 is
[OFF]
and unarmed a low battery
is indicated by:
• Short
BEEPS
(approx every 15-20 seconds).
•
RED LED
flashes.
Verifying Low Power 121.xxMHz Test Transmissions
When in low power test mode, the Sea Marshall AU9 will display
battery LED indications and transmit low power test transmissions.
Live units transmit on 121.5MHz and training units transmit on
121.65MHz. The low power transmission range is approximately
30 meters and transmissions can be verified using an MRT
Crewguard MKII or MRT SARfinder MKIII receiver.
WARNING:
When conducting a test or exercise on the SARfinder
using the 121.65MHz frequency, it will automatically revert back to
the live 121.5MHz frequency after 20 minutes. See the SARfinder
User Manual for more information.
