Open the cover of the recorder. There are two hard drive positions in one hard drive tray.
Position 1 is at the top of the tray, position 2 is at the bottom (underneath the top hard drive).
The following illustration shows the hard drive positions in the unit with two hard drives installed.

Loosen the four screws at the bottom of the hard drive bracket (two each side) and remove it
from the recorder.
Note:
Set the screws aside - you will use them to re-attach the bracket.
