SETTING POWER TO ON/STANDBY
Before turning on the power, check again that all
speaker and antenna connections have been made
correctly.
Turn the power on by pressing the ON/STANDBY
button on the unit.
Turn the power on by pressing the POWER button
on the remote controller.
When the power is turned on, the input source last
used is displayed on the display panel.
If the power is set to standby mode, the display
panel displays the time.
• The display fl ashes “00:00” at time of purchase.
Be sure to set the time. (See page 15)
LISTENING TO A CD
The unit can also play MP3 and WMA music data
fi les written on a CD-R or CD-RW disc in ISO9660
Mode 1 or Mode 2 CD-ROM format.
Be sure to adjust the audio volume level of the unit
before listening to a CD.

Select CD as the input source by pressing
the INPUT button on the unit or the CD
button on the remote controller.
Note:
When changing the input source to CD using the
INPUT button on the unit, be sure to put the remote
controller into CD/USB mode by pressing its CD
button.

Open the disc tray by pressing the

and then place the CD on the disc tray.
Make sure that the printed label is facing up
when placing the CD on the tray.

Close the disc tray by pressing the

again.

the display panel after disc information
has been read.
PLAYING A CD

• Adjust the volume to your taste when
playback starts using the volume buttons
on the unit or remote controller.
• Play the CD by pressing the

on the unit; or the

button, RANDOM
button, or any of the numeric buttons on
the remote controller while the disc tray
is closed.
