If optical pickup unit is replaced, optical pickup grating adjustment is needed after AUTO-adjustment (See Fig.10-3).
After the adjustment, back to AUTO pre-adjustment and then adjust again in numerical order.

2. Adjustment procedure and process order
1) Short the pin #7 (WP) and #4 (Vss) of IC1402 (EEPROM) with a lead wire.
2) Enter the MD TEST MODE, confi rm the process order from the following table which matched with your repair. Adjust and
setup each process with referring each guidance mentioned below.
3) Press
the
POWER button on the remote controller. (adjustment values will be memorized to the EEPROM)
4) Press
the
POWER button on the front panel and remove the mains plug from the Mains outlet on the wall.
5) Remove the short lead wire from the pin #7 (WP) and #4 (Vss) of IC1402 (EEPROM).
