INSTRUCTIONS

HORIZONTAL CENTER COLUMN (fig. 8)
The sliding centre (center) column can also be used horizontally: this not only allows the camera to be
offset from the legs’ position, it also provides the simplest way to shoot from directly above a subject:
- remove the top adapter section “F” as shown in figure 6
- unlock knob “E”
- remove the centre column “D” and insert it into hole “G” (fig. 8) taking care to align the column profile

with the shoulder hole profile

- tighten locking lever “E” and replace the top adapter section “F” on the lower part of the center column

positioning it as shown and at the same time screwing knob “R”.

Note: for most solid locking, rotate the centre (center) column “D” until parts “X”, “Y” are in line with the
direction of the screw of locking lever “E” as shown in figure 8.

MOUNTING AND REMOVING A CAMERA HEAD (fig. 9)
Remove the cap “Z” (fig. 2).
Mount the camera head on the plate at the top of the centre (center) column via the 3/8” mounting screw
(screw head clockwise). Then raise the centre (center) column and with a small screwdriver, tighten the
three set screws “M” (supplied unmounted) up against the base of the head, taking care not to force them.
This unique feature works especially well with Manfrotto heads due to the specially designed base, and
prevents the head unscrewing accidentally.
To remove the head, loosen the set screws “M” and unscrew the head from the column (counter-clockwise).

Note (fig. 10)
For outdoor use, especially in windy conditions, it is possible to further stabilise the tripod:
- remove the carrying strap ”T” (fig. 2)
- fix the carrying strap as shown in figure 10 onto the ring “P”
- hang a counterweight (not supplied) from carrying strap

TRANSPORTATION (fig. 11 and 12)
Close the carrying strap clip "V" (fig. 11) to keep the legs together.
The tripod is supplied with carrying strap “T” for transportation (see figure 12).

SERVICE

We strongly recommend that you keep the leg tubes clean and free of dirt/grit in order to maintain the
smooth running of the tubes inside each other.

NB
Avoid dropping the tripod or releasing it sharply downwards when positioning it on the ground.
The tripod’s internal locking mechanism is designed to unblock in the event of excessive upward force in
order to prevent damage to equipment.
