For BES versions 4.0 to 4.1, perform create a new Application Control Policy for Task 4 and in
addition to that after Task 4, step 4 click
Event Injection
field and click
Allowed
. And continue
with Task 4, step 5, 6 and 7.
•
For BES version 5.0, before Task 4 perform the following steps.
1.
In the BlackBerry Administration Service, on the
BlackBerry solution management
menu,
expand
Software
>
Applications.
2.
Click
Manage applications
.
3.
Search for a BlackBerry Java Application.
4.
In the search results, click a BlackBerry Java Application.
5.
In the
Application versions
section, click the version of the application that you want to
create a custom application control policy for.
6.
Click
Edit application
.
7.
On the
Application control policies
tab, in the
Settings
section, select the
Use custom
application control policies
option.
8.
In the
Optional application name
field, type a name for the Application Control Policy.
9.
In the
Settings
section,
click
Event Injection
field and click
Allowed.
10.
Click the
Add
icon.
11.
Click
Save all
.
Installation Instructions for Restricted BES User
Once you get a confirmation from your BES administrator that he/she pushed the CoolMIR software out
to your BlackBerry, locate the software and follow the OTA instruction from step 5 to 13 to turn the
software on and connect the keyboard.
