MEMS Control System
The
Malibu Electronic Management System (MEMS) is Malibu’s state of the art
dashboard design that uses solid state technology to provide seven separate monitoring
functions for your convenience. The MEMS control panel consists of six indicator lights
and an hourmeter. If the high water temperature, low oil pressure or check engine lights
illuminate, check the gauges and immediately stop the engine. Investigate the cause and
correct if possible. If not, see your local dealer immediately.

Automatic Blower
This light indicates that the engine compartment blower is operating. This light will
automatically illuminate whenever the boat is operating below 1500 RPM.
Low Fuel
This light indicates that you should consider re-fueling your boat. This light will be
displayed when your fuel tank is below 15% of capacity.
Low Battery
This light indicates that there could be a possible problem with the battery.
High Water Temperature
This light indicates that high water temperature condition exists in your engine. Check
for leaks or impeller damage.
Low Oil Pressure
This light indicates that low oil pressure has been detected in the engine. This is a serious
condition and should be acted upon immediately.
Check Engine
This light is activated by a switch supplied by MerCruiser
®
. This light will illuminate and
a warning buzzer will sound if there is low engine oil pressure, high engine coolant
temperature, or low transmission fluid pressure.
Engine Hours Meter
This meter will help you identify how much your boat is being used and at what time the
engine will require servicing. It will run whenever the ignition switch is on.
