OIL TOP-UP
Check the oil level before topping up. Never exceed the “MAX” level when topping up with oil.
The difference between the “MIN” and “MAX” marks corresponds to approximately 300 cc.
The oil level must never be above the “MAX” mark! Overfilling with oil may seriously damage the
engine due to excessive internal pressure.
Every 3,000 km the message “OIL CHA” is displayed on the digital instrument panel indicating that
the engine oil should be changed. This warning message remains displayed on the instrument panel
until the oil has been changed.
Engine oil change and mesh strainer cleaning:
after the first 1000 km and every 3000 km or 6 months
thereafter
1) Warm the engine up for a few minutes.
2) Stop the engine. Place an oil container under the en-
gine and remove the dipstick.
3) Remove drain plug (A) and dipstick, and allow the oil to
flow into the container.
4) Clean strainer (B) with solvent.
5) Check O-ring (C) and renew if damaged.
6) Refit the O-ring, compression spring (D), the strainer,
and the drain plug.
NOTE
Make sure the O-ring is correctly seated.
7) Tighten the drain plug to the prescribed torque setting.
Tightening torque: 32 N*m / 3.2 kg*m
8) Fill the engine with 1.4 litres of Q8 CLASS 10W 40 oil
and refit the dipstick.
9) Run the engine and let it warm up, checking for possi-
ble oil leaks. If leaks are noted, stop the engine and
find the cause.
