6.1 Installation of MS 160

Shortening the MS 160
1. Shorten the
MS 160
masonry block
on the
outside
in the area between the markings to
the appropriate size. Use a saw suitable for
EPS. Observe the markings on the masonry
block.
Installing the MS 160
1. Insert the
MS 160
masonry block at the install-
ation site in accordance with the local condi-
tions (glue in place, pour concrete).
NOTICE If installed incorrectly, condensation
water may not drain off properly and cause
damage to the building.
It is essential that the masonry block is in-
stalled exactly horizontally and in the correct
installation position.

. Any condensation must
be able to drip off to the outside. Observe the ap-
propriate wall sleeve projection from the exterior
wall for the respective external cover. For further

Attaching the shell sleeve (recommendations)

shell sleeves are suitable for the
MS 160
ma-
sonry block.
• Shorten and deburr the shell sleeve according
to the wall thickness. Observe the required pro-
jections for plaster, masonry, inner cover and
external cover. For external covers → PP shell
installation instructions, prescribed wall sleeve
projection.
• Fix the shell sleeve inside the masonry block
with non-pressing or expansion-free construc-
tion foam. Centre the shell sleeve symmetrically
in the core drill hole using the EPS shims. Cut
