2. Mount the two supplied cable glands (M 20 x
1.5) at the points provided on the lower part of
the housing (Fig. 1).
3. Connect the mains and the motor in compli-
ance with the connection diagram (Fig. 2). The
circuit diagram can also be found on the inside
of the housing cover.
4. Use a common sheathed cable for motor
voltage and PTC thermistor terminal.
5. The PTC thermistor triggering system may
only be operated with the cover fitted and with
the cable glands installed.
6. Data of the cable screw connections and the
screws on the housing cover:
• Cable screw connections M 20 x 1.5:
Tightening torques: Connection thread 4.0 Nm,
Pressure screw 3.0 Nm.
Clamping range: 6 mm – 13 mm
• Screws on the housing cover:
Tightening torque 1.3 Nm

DANGER Avoid hazards due to live parts
Disconnect all poles of the PTC thermistor trig-
gering system from the mains before starting
troubleshooting.
• Faulty operation
In the event of operational disturbances, dis-
connect all poles of the PTC thermistor trigger-
ing system from the mains. Before switching on
again,have the cause of the fault determined
and rectified by trained specialists.
• Repairs
Repairs to the unit may only be carried out by a
certified repair workshop in compliance with EN
60079-17 and EN IEC 60079-19.
