13.10.11 Underbody
Flush the complete underside of your vehicle frequently. Keep body and door drain
holes free from packed dirt. You can also use an anti-corrosion spray for the
underbody to avoid rusting and corrosion especially for vehicles in coastal places.
13.11 Air Conditioning System Maintenance
Your vehicle's air-conditioning is a sealed system. Any major maintenance, such as
recharging should be done by a qualified technician. However, you can do a few
things by yourself to make sure the air conditioning works efficiently.
Run the air-conditioning system at least once a week, even during the cold weather
months. Run it for at least ten minutes with the engine running at normal operating
temperature. This circulates the lubricating oil contained in the refrigerant.
Whenever you get the air-conditioning system serviced, make sure the service
facility uses a refrigerant recycling system. This system captures the
refrigerant for re-use. Releasing the refrigerant into the atmosphere may
cause damage to the environment.

store your vehicle, or keep it out of service (i.e. vacation) for two weeks or more, run
the air conditioning system at idle for about five minutes in the fresh air mode and
high blower speed setting. This will ensure adequate system lubrication to minimize
the possibility of compressor damage when the system is started again.
It is recommended storing the vehicle in a covered, clean, dry, well leveled, ventilated
and closed place.
