higher than that of the 4H position at a given road speed. Do not
exceed 40kmph.
Exceeding 25 mph (40 km/h) while the transfer case is
engaged in 4L may result in an engine overspeed condition and
engine damage
Because the four-wheel drive provides improved traction, there
is a tendency to exceed safe turning and stopping speeds.
•
Do not believe than you can go faster than road conditions
permit
•
Do not shift to a lower gear than necessary to maintain
forward motion
•
Over-revving the engine can spin the wheels and traction will
be lost. You will not be able to stop or control your vehicle
•
Braking performance is dramatically reduced in wet/icy/
slippery conditions. Avoid abrupt downshifts on slippery
roads, engine braking may cause skidding and loss of control
resulting in an accident

Shifting between 2H and 4H can be made with the vehicle stopped
or in motion (speed less than 4-5Kmph). If the vehicle is in motion,
release the accelerator pedal and maintain very low speed until
transfer case is completely engaged.
Never operate the 4WD shifter lever if the wheels are slipping. Stop
the slipping or spinning before operating the shifter
If transfer case is not properly engaged, whine noise may come
from driveline. This is because mating teeth not being properly
aligned/engaged. In that case, stop the vehicle and start driving
again.
To shift from 4H to 2H, move the selector lever to the 2H position.
Vehicle may needs to be stopped for completely for proper
disengaging from 4WH/4WL.
