7. Troubleshooting
Problem
Cause
Solution
The front panel does not
display any messages
The power cord is not plugged in
or the unit is turned off
Check that the power cord is
plugged in to the socket and
that the power switch is on. Also
check the power switch on the
back of the receiver
No picture or sound
Poor (or wrong) connection of
the receiver audio/video outputs
to the TV
Ensure that appropriate
connectors are used, and are
correctly connected
Audio muting
Press the MUTE button to
unmute
the sound
TV power is off
Turn on the TV
Incorrect TV input
Select the correct TV input
The remote control does not
work
The battery of the remote control
is not inserted correctly, or it is
discharged.
Check if battery is correctly
inserted.
Replace the battery, if necessary.
