Grease the trailer axle bearings every three months, or 1000 miles.
Keep the water trailer free of mud, oil or chemicals. When washing the trailer, do not spray water on the
engine or surge brake coupler. Replace any missing or hard to read decals immediately; contact your dealer
or Magnum Products, LLC for replacements.
This water trailer is designed for specific applications. Do not modify or use this unit for any application other
than which it was designed.
PUMP AND ENGINE MAINTENANCE
Consult the pump instruction manual and the engine owner’s manuals that were supplied with this unit for
periodic maintenance procedures. If the water trailer is going to be stored for a long period of time certain
precautions must be taken to insure reliable start up the next time the water trailer is used. Consult the
pump instruction manual and the engine owner’s manuals that were supplied with this unit for long term
storage procedures.
DRAINING THE TANK
The tank, pump housing and hoses must be completely drained when the temperature is expected to drop
below 32 F (0 C) or if the unit is to be stored for a long period of time. To drain the unit:
1. Lower the front of the trailer as low as possible using the trailer jack.
2. Open the lower hose bibb (H) and valve 4 and allow the tank and lower manifold to drain completely.
3. Close valve 4.
4. Raise the front of the trailer with the trailer jack until the pump engine is at a slight angle.
5. Drain the pump housing by removing the drain plug. The drain plug is located directly below the pump
inlet hose. Replace the drain plug when the housing is empty.
6. Close valves 1,2, 3 and 4. Remove the end plug (B) on the upper manifold.
7. Remove the plug to the access hole (E) on the top of the pump housing. Using an air compressor, blow
air into the pump housing. The remaining water in the outlet side of the pump and hose should discharge
through the end of the manifold.
8. Replace the end cap in the upper manifold. Open valve 2 and blow air into the pump housing. Any water
left in the supply hose to the rear spray bar should discharge through the rear spray nozzles.
9. Leave the lower hose bibb open to allow any residual water to drain from the tank.
