OPERATING INSTURCTIONS
1.
Make sure that MS-7 internal battery is fully charged.
2.
Connect the MS-7 Memory Saver’s OBD connector or cigarette plug to vehicle’s OBD
connector or cigarette port. Make sure that the connector or cigarette plug is fully engaged.
3.
TURN ALL VEHICLE LOADS OFF
:
Turn off loads (blowers, interior light, headlight,
air conditioning, radio, etc.).
IMPORTANT –
When using the male-to-male cigarette plug cable to vehicle’s port, please turn the car
key to the position of “ACC”.
Please don’t turn the key to the position at “ON” or “START” which may damage the
fuse of cigarette plug or MS-7 due to the large current load.
4.
With the MS-7 internal battery switch still in the
“O”
position, the LED on the cigarette plug
should light up indicating the connection to vehicle’s battery. If it is not lit, please check the
connection.
5.
Turn MS-7 internal battery switch to the
“1”
position.
6.
If the Green LED of internal battery status light is still lit, which is indicating both with a
good connection and an adequate operating voltage. If the LED of Red or Yellow is lit, the
internal battery voltage has dropped. Please charge the MS-7. If nothing lights up, please
charge the internal battery of MS-7.
7.
Disconnect the vehicle’s battery cables
WARNING – The vehicle’s electrical system is receiving power from the MS-7 Memory
Saver through the OBD or cigarette plug connection. Therefore, the vehicle’s battery
connectors will still conduct electricity and should be covered with an insulator t
prevent the connectors from touching metal or each other and causing a short circuit.
