9. Trending Menu
The Trending feature of the DataLogger Series 4 autonomously logs real-time drive information, such as
current or torque changes over time. This trending data is viewable by connecting the DLS4 to a PC and
opening the trending files in the IMPULSE•Link 5 software. A new trend data file is created every hour
and is labeled by drive model and time-stamp. The data is presented in a graphical form with the X-axis
being Time and the Y-axis being the various trending measurements.

The “Custom Monitors” provides the user with the ability to select from a variety of additional monitors to
get logged with the trending data.
The “Trend in BB” option allows the user to enable the DLS4 to log trending data when the drive is Base
Blocked (not running). By default, this option is disabled.
The “Clear Trends” option allows the user to delete all the trending data from the DLS4.
