Align the scale with the desired scale reference position, and then mark this position at
the end of the scale. (Fig. 3)

Peel off about 20 mm of the backing paper. (Fig. 4)
7.
Affix the scale while making contact with two or more parallel pins. (Fig. 5)
Align the mark made in step 5 with the scale end where the marking was made, and
then firmly press down the 20 mm of peeled backing paper with your fingers.
8.
Peel off the backing paper to the position where the next parallel pin is reached. (Fig. 6)
9.
Affix the scale while making contact with the parallel pin and being careful that firm
contact is maintained.
10. Repeat steps 8 and 9 until the entire length of the scale is affixed.
11. Remove the parallel pins.
12. Press down the entire length of the scale with your fingers.
