3.4 CHOOSING AND CHANGING THE WIRE FEEDING ROLLS

Ÿ

For  changing  the  wire 

feeding  rolls,  pull  down  the 
spring  knob 

(44) 

and 

remove  the  screws 

(43) 

of 

feeding  rolls.  Then  remove 
the feeding rolls (Figure 17).

Ÿ

For steel and stainless steel 

wires use V-shape rolls, for flux cored wires use 
knurled V-shape rolls, for aluminium wires choose 
U-shape rolls.

Install the appropriate rolls and screw the screws

Remove nozzle and contact tip of the torch.

Pull  down  the  spring  knob

  and  release  the 

pressure rolls.

Ÿ

Pull  and  hold  the  wire  tightly  to  keep  it  from 
unraveling,  cut  off  end. Thread  the  wire  through 
the rolls into the torch. (Figure 21).

Screwing the spool support nut (46) 
too tight may cause blockage of wire 
feeding. Screwing the spool support 
nut (46) loose may cause free turning 
of the wire spool after stopping wire 

feeding which may lead to feedability problems.

Both  sides  of  the  rolls  are  labeled 
according  to  appropriate  wire 
diameter. Rolls must be inserted into 
the  flange  in  such  a  way  that 
appropriate diameter of the wire to be
