CONNECTING TO THE POWER AMPLIFIER
The subwoofer should be connected to an external power amplifier in every case. This
can provide the required electrical power and create corresponding dynamic reserves.
The relevant instructions also contain the customized connection diagram for the
operation of a subwoofer.
The basic equipment of a power amplifier also includes an active crossover switch (low-
pass) to keep undesirable mid-tone ranges away from the subwoofer.
ADDITIONAL PASSIVE FILTERS
Should you not have any active filter switching available (e.g. use of a mono-block or tri-
mode two-channel power amp), this function has to be performed by a passive crossover.
Please select your subwoofer’s cutoff frequency and wire the components as follows.

FIG. 3
The use of subwoofers leads to a multiple increase in the dynamics of your audio system.
To safeguard your tweeter systems, we recommend protecting these with an additional
protective condenser (100 - 200uF series-connected in front of the overall mid-tweeter
system).
