THE FUNCTIONS OF THE VC 2
Repeat functions
(REPEAT 1/ALL, REPEAT A-B, pos. 27, 28)
Press REPEAT 1/ALL to repeat the current track or the entire CD. Pressing this button
again switches off the repeat function.
Press the REPEAT A-B button to define the start of the section to be repeated. Press
the button again to specify the end of the section. Pressing this button again switches
off the repeat function.
For many media files, there are no generally-valid standards. Therefore, we
cannot guarantee that all files will always play back correctly.
Very large video files can cause problems during playback via USB. These
should then be played back from a CD or DVD.
TUNER
Selecting the tuner band
• Select TUNER FM or TUNER AM as the audio source using the SOURCE (VC 2, pos.
7) or TUNER button (on the remote control, pos. 3).
• Press the MONO/ST button (remote control (pos. 4)) to switch between mono reception
(recommended for poor reception) or stereo reception.
Station search
• Select TUNER as the audio source and choose the band (see above).
• Use the TUNING buttons on the front of the VC 2 (5, 6) or the TUNING buttons on the
remote control (16, 17):
• Briefly pressing these buttons increases or decreases the tuning frequency by 50 kHz.
• Pressing and holding these buttons searches for the next or previous station on the
band.
Station presets
• 20 FM and AM stations can be stored in the memory.
• Select the desired station (FM or AM). Open the memory using the MEM button on the
remote control (9).
• Choose the desired station number via the numerical buttons on the remote control (8). •
The station number flashes in the display.
• Press the MEM button again to store the station.
• The station number stops flashing.
• Repeat this procedure to store other stations.

Selecting the preset stations
Press one of the PRESET buttons on the remote control (18, 19) to select the desired sta-
tion number.
The memory slot can also be selected directly by using the numerical buttons.
RDS (RADIO DATA SYSTEM) FUNCTIONS OF THE TUNER
RDS is a system which provides information about FM stations that is broadcast together
with the station's signal. The VC 2 can present this information (about the station, broad-
cast, etc.) in the display. The RDS functions can be set via the SEARCH/RDS button on
the remote control (10).
RDS functions of the VC 2
• PS (Program Service Name): Displays the name of the programme. •
PTY (Program Type Identification): Displays the type of programme.
•
RT (Radio Text): Displays all information for the programme.
Display sequence when repeatedly pressing the SEARCH/RDS button: PS, station fre-
quency, PTY, RT.
If one of these functions is not supported despite reception of an RDS signal, "N/A" will ap-
pear in the display.
