6. Adjust the two clamping screws to secure the top of the box into the fireplace opening.
7. Insert the fire into the Thermobox and connect the fire to the gas supply via the isolating
valve.
8. Secure the fire to the Thermobox with the two captive screws (supplied) through the holes
in the fire legs and the holes in the Thermobox.
9. Fit the trim if applicable. The trim is attached to the flange of the Thermobox by means of
small magnets.
10. An optional cable fixing kit is available from the manufacturer.

Section 3.9
for the remainder of the installation.
3.8.4. Installation (Standard Thermobox Only)
1. Slide the box centrally into the opening.
2. While pressing the Thermobox in, mark out the appropriate holes on the base onto the
hearth.
3. Remove the Thermobox then drill and plug the holes as marked.
4. Replace the box into the opening and using appropriate screws, secure the box to the
hearth through the rear holes.
5. Apply an appropriate seal to the front edge of the box.
6. Insert the fire into the Thermobox and connect the fire to the gas supply via the isolating
valve.
7. Secure the fire to the hearth with screws through the holes in the fire legs and the holes in
the Thermobox.
8. Fit the trim if applicable using the appropriate method.
9. Refer to the
Section 3.9
for the remainder of the installation.
3.8.5. Installation (Slimline Thermobox Only)
1. Slide the box centrally into the opening and position the fire surround back panel in front of
it.
2. Adjust the box such that its front edge meets the rear face of the fire surround back panel.
Mark out the appropriate holes on the base onto the hearth.
3. Remove the surround and the Thermobox then drill and plug the holes as marked.
4. Replace the box into the opening and using appropriate screws, secure the box to the
hearth through the rear holes.
5. Replace the fire surround and secure it in position in front of the Thermobox.
6. Insert the fire centrally into the Thermobox mark the holes in the front legs of the fire onto
the hearth.
7. Remove the fire tray then drill and plug at the marked positions.
8. Connect the fire to the gas supply via the isolating valve and secure it in position in the
Thermobox.
