The flywheel brake lever / operator’s presence control / OPC handle is located in the upper handle of
the lawnmower. The handle must be depressed to allow the ignition and held against the upper handle.

The recoil starter handle is attached to the upper handle on the right-hand side. When starting,
always stand behind the lawnmower in the operating position. Pull the recoil starter handle until the
engine runs.

Once started, allow 2 / 3 minutes for the engine to warm up before mowing.
The blade starts to rotate after the engine is switched on.

Starting a warmed-up engine
Move the throttle on «MIN» position
Depress the OPC handle to allow the ignition and held against the upper handle.
Pull the recoil starter handle until the engine runs.

Stop engine and blade
Move the
Throttle Cable assy onto « STOP » position
Release the Operators Presence Control (OPC) handle to
stop the engine and blade.
WARNING!!
The blade continues to rotate after the engine is
switched off.
WARNING!!
The OPC handle is a safety device.
Never attempt to bypass its operations. The blade will be rotating when the engine is running
D-
Self-propelled mower
Once engine has been started, push the self-propelled
lever up against the upper handle and keep it in this
position.
The mower now starts to move.
To stop the mower, release the lever.
