Marco and MAPPING Settings
The C.A.T. 12 has two specialty trigger buttons on the rear of the unit. These two buttons, MR and
ML, can be programmed to perform multiple inputs commands (macros), or mapped (bound)
to perform the function of another button. The process to set up these two operations follow:
1. MACRO function: This allows you to perform multiple input commands ‒ including multiple
button presses and directional / joystick movements in combination upon a single press of
either MR or ML.
How to set up:
Both MR and ML have separate ‘programming buttons’ labeled ‘M’ on their respective sides.
They are positioned above the vibration adjustment button on the same side as the trigger
button you wish to set up — ML or MR. (see diagram)
To program the MR (Right-hand trigger button), Press and hold the right M button. Enter the
inputs you wish to record (up to 20 steps). After releasing the right M button, the handle will
vibrate once. Press the MR button to activate the macro function.
The process is the same for the ML button:
To program the ML (Left-hand trigger button), Press and hold the left M button. Enter the inputs
you wish to record (up to 20 steps). After releasing the left M button, the handle will vibrate once.
Press the ML button to activate the macro function.
The possible macro inputs are A, B, X, Y, L1, R1, L2, R2, L3, R3, +, -, directional keys (up, down, left,
right), two joysticks (can be used as a combo in-game). It does not perform repetitive actions
when pressed and held.
2.MAPPING function (to assign / map a specific key to the trigger buttons MR or ML)
Press and hold the right M and MR buttons simultaneously, and press the single button you wish
to map while still holding both right M and MR buttons. After releasing the buttons, the handle
will vibrate once. Press the MR button again to activate the mapping function.
Likewise, press and hold the left M and ML buttons simultaneously, and press the single button
you wish to map while still holding both right M and ML buttons. After releasing the buttons,
the handle will vibrate once. Press the ML button again to activate the mapping function.
