Effect object
Each Fireworks Effect (bevel, drop shadow, etc.) has a unique set of attributes. So, each Effect
object has its own set of properties that can be set (instead of a common set of properties for
all Effect objects). The properties for various Effect objects are listed in the following tables, in
alphabetical order.

the shadow and highlight colors of the
bevel.
BevelContrast

BevelType

Sets a bevel as inner, outer, raised
embossed, inset embossed, or glow effect,
as follows:
InnerBevel = 0
OuterBevel = 1
RaiseEmboss = 2
InsetEmboss = 3
GlowEffect = 4
BevelWidth
integer
The width of the bevel, in pixels.
ButtonState

BevelButtonUp = 0
BevelButtonOver = 1
BevelButtonDown = 2
BevelButtonHit = 3
DownBlendColor
string
A color string that specifies the color that is
blended on top of the image if
ButtonState = 2

).
EdgeThreshold
integer
Controls the opacity at which the edge of
the effect is defined. Use

(for GlowEffect); otherwise, use

EffectIsVisible

If set to
false
, the effect is included but
temporarily hidden. The default value is
true
.
