Check to be sure all bystanders have cleared the area.
1.
Shut down the engine, and remove the key from the ignition.

Windrowers equipped with a hydraulic center-link without
self-alignment:
Remove pin (A) and raise center-link (B)
until the hook is above the attachment pin on the header.
Replace pin (A) to hold the center-link in place.
IMPORTANT:
Ensure that the center-link is positioned high enough that it
does not contact the header as the windrower approaches
the header.

Remove hairpin (A) from clevis pin (B), and remove the pin
from header support (C) on both sides of the header.

Start the engine.

Lift header support (A) and place 2 x 4 in. blocks (B) under
the header support. A total of four 2 x 4 in. blocks (B) will
be necessary to raise the boot up into the field position.
Ensure that the boot
’
s bottom edge (C) is parallel with the
ground.
NOTE:
Do
NOT
stack blocks (B) crosswise; doing so can make the
header unstable when you are attempting to connect the
header and the windrower. Stack blocks (B) so that they are
aligned with each other.
6.
Repeat Step
on the opposite side of the header.
