Remove bearing assembly (B) and seal (A) from roller
tube (C) as follows:
a.
Attach slide hammer (D) to the threaded shaft.
b.
Tap out the bearing assembly.
3.
Clean the inside of roller tube (C) and check it for wear or
damage. Replace it if necessary.

Install bearing assembly (B) into the roller by pushing on
the
OUTER
race of bearing.
IMPORTANT:
Do
NOT
push on the inner race of the bearing, or the
bearing may be damaged and rendered unusable. Do not
install a damaged bearing.
NOTE:
The bearing is fully positioned when 14 mm (0.55 in.)
dimension (D) is achieved.
5.
Apply grease in front of the bearing.
IMPORTANT:
Use SAE multi-purpose high temperature extreme pressure
(EP2) performance with 0
–
1% max molybdenum disulphide
(NLGI grade 2) lithium base.
6.
Install seal (A) into the roller by pushing on the outer and
inner race of the seal.
NOTE:
The seal is fully positioned when dimension (C) is
3 mm (0.12 in.). A flat washer (1.0 in. ID x 2.0 in. OD) can
act as a suitable seal driver.
7.
Ensure that the bearing and its seal turn freely.
8.
Reinstall the roller assembly into the deck.
