SAFETY INFORMATION
Do not make any modifi cations to the trailer or its coupling device for the bicycle. Do not use the
trailer if parts of the trailer and / or the bike are damaged or missing. Contact your dealer for any
replacement parts for the trailer.
PLEASE FOLLOW THESE WARNINGS AND SAFETY INSTRUCTIONS WHILE USING
THE TRAILER
• Before and after each use of the trailer, check the trailer and its components. For safety reasons,
it is important to maintain the trailer in the required manner.
• When assembling the trailer, make sure that the tyres are correctly mounted according to the
instructions in the chapter with the mounting instructions. Infl ate the tyres to the recommended
tyre pressure and check the pressure before each ride. Tyre overpressure can tilt the trailer, so
always check this.
• Connect the connecting element of the trailer coupling to the bicycle frame.
The connecting element must be tensioned and the safety belt must be guided around the
rear base. The hook hooks into the ring.
• The cyclist must be at least 18 years old and in good physical shape.
• Make sure that the bike is in good condition and that the brakes are working properly.
It is recommended to equip the bicycle with rear-view mirrors.
The lights must be switched on at dusk for maximum safety.
• Do not overload the trailer. The maximum permissible load is 45 kg.
Be sure to position the luggage in the center of the trailer.
The luggage must be fi xed well.
• Do not attempt to mount additional seats in the trailer. The use of seats could cause damage
to the trailer or injuries to the cyclists.
• The smooth running of the bike can change with the trailer attached, especially in terms of
balance, steering and braking behaviour.
Before each ride, you should take a test in a safe place to familiarize yourself with the behaviour
of your bike when the trailer is attached and loaded (braking behaviour, cornering).
• In case of an emergency, damage or breakdown, push the trailer to the side of the road before
making any repairs.
• Check before each ride that the brakes are working properly.
• Be sure to attach the safety fl ag to your trailer prior to each ride
SAFETY RECOMMENDATIONS FOR CYCLISTS
• Do not ride on motorways, busy roads, or places not being safe enough for bicycles.
• If you need to ride in the evening or at night, make sure you have adequate lighting and
highly-visible clothing.
• Do not turn sharply, otherwise the trailer may tip over.
