Close across the unused input terminals as shown below.
(Choose K (CA) thermocouple for unused channels.)

If unused input terminals are not short-circuited, status in-
dicator LED blinks in red (0.5 sec. cycle), and a burnout flag
is set in the PLC or the host device.
