The LURCH mechanical juice extractor - easy
and simple to use- it functions without electric-
ity, and offers great cold-pressing advantages.
This means that valuable components of the
pressed fruit & vegetable get to the glass with-
out losing a single vitamin. In the so-called non-
centrifuged cold pressing, the juice extractor
does not get warm, therefore the ingredients
are not affected by temperature variations like in
an electric device. Moreover, thanks to the com-
paratively low rotation speed, very little oxygen,
that can lead to oxidation gets to the produce.
This type of juicing retains vitamins and protects
sensitive secondary plant materials.
The core piece of the juice extractor is the met-
al-reinforced pressing screw, that guarantees
a high juice yield from most different fruits and
vegetables. Even wheat grass and hard veg-
etables (e.g. carrots) can be easily juiced. Cit-
rus fruits should nonetheless be peeled before
pressing, because of their bitter rind– for this
purpose it is recommended to remove the rind
with a peeler.
To extract the juice from solid fruits and vegeta-
bles such as apples, pears and carrots, turn the
crank in a clockwise direction. Solid residues
(pomace) that remain after pressing are thrown
out forward; the juice is retained at the back.
CLEANING
The Lurch juice extractor is easy to keep clean. It
can be put together by hand, and taken apart af-
ter use. Single parts (apart from the base) can be
put in the dishwasher and/or can be cleaned with
hot water and some washing-up liquid. Colour-
ing that can appear after extracting carrot juice
can be removed generally with some cooking oil
and a cloth.
MATERIAL
All parts of the juice extractor are made of high-
quality plastic/rubber and/or stainless steel and
are very resistant to foodstuffs as well as to fruit
acid.
The tough and durable juice extractor consists of high-quality material; it is easy to assemble and keep
clean. It conforms to tests according to ECC 90/128 and the standard of the US Food and Drug Admini-
stration (FDA). The specially designed pressing screw minces and presses fruits and vegetables more
efficiently than other juice presses. Thanks to the vacuum foot and fixture, the juice extractor can be
secured on all flat surfaces. In addition a practical sieve is enclosed, which can be mounted firmly on the
juice container and therefore catches surplus fibres or seeds.
