DO NOT OVER TIGHTEN
Center the hood shield on the hood. Note the position of the of the
holes on the outboard flange and where they align with the hood
edges.

Apply a strip of protective film to the hood at BOTH loca-
tions that correspond with the holes in the hood shield.

Remove hood shield from vehicle. Install (1) bracket at
EACH hole location on the shield and attach using (1)
screw and (1)washer.

Expose 2” (5 cm) of tape liner from EACH end of the middle flange
regions. Ensure you can access the free ends of tape liner.

Center the hood shield on the hood, carefully allowing the brackets
to align with the previously installed protective film. Position center
of hood shield UNDER the top rung of the grille.
Remove remaining tape liner by pulling on free ends. Press
firmly on flanges to ensure adhesion of tape to hood surface.

Attach the brackets to the hood by sliding them into place
over the protective film pieces,
