5. RESET

In the case you need to reset the unit without the web interface, the 

GigaCore 10 and GigaCore 10 with PoE off ers diff erent levels of reset, 

based on the ones you can fi nd in the web interface.

 

Reset: 

The unit is brought back to its default confi guration, 

with the default IP address printed at the back of the unit.

 Profi les stored in the device are preserved

 

Default login: admin

 

Default password: No password

 

Reload Default:

 The profi le stored in slot one is reloaded. The 

“Reload Default” is available only if the profi le stored in slot 

one has been locked through the utility menu. If this profi le 

is set with a password, then the user will need to enter it 

through the web interface to access the switch’s menu.

 

Default login: admin

 

Default password: No password

 

Factory Reset:

 With a factory reset the device is fully reset to 

the state it left Luminex and ALL data will be erased.

 

Default login: admin

 

Default password: No password

THE FOLLOWING RESET PROCEDURES CAN ALSO BE ACHIEVED 

WITH THE FRONT-END PANEL’S JOG!

5.1 Reset

Condition 1: The device is currently running

Condition 2: There is no profi le set as default profi le

Hold the mode button for at least fi ve seconds to see the four status 

LEDs blink red. Releasing the mode button while the LEDs are blinking 

red will reset the unit.

Be aware that releasing the mode button during the fi rst fi ve seconds 

before the LEDs start blinking red will cancel the operation.

Be aware that releasing the mode button during the fi ve seconds after 

the LEDs are blinking red will cancel the operation.

5.2 Reload Default

Condition 1: The device is currently running

Condition 2: The profi le stored in slot one needs to be locked through 

the utility menu

Hold the mode button for at least fi ve seconds to see the four status 

LEDs start blinking green. If you release the button whilst the LEDs are 

blinking green, the unit will reload the profi le stored in slot one.

If you wait an additional fi ve seconds, the status LEDs will start blinking 

red to provide you with a reset.

Releasing the mode button while the LEDs are blinking red will reset 

the unit.

Be aware that releasing the mode button during the fi rst fi ve seconds 

before the status LEDs are blinking green will cancel the operation.

Be aware that releasing the mode button during the fi ve seconds after 

the status LEDs were blinking red will cancel the operation.
