7. Setting up the camera in the barn
The included antenna cable will allow you to place the camera within 25 meters from the transmitting
A300-antenna (10dBi) and within 12 meters from a 220V wall socket (both power and antenna
cables can be extended, se asterisk below).
Place your camera at a spot located up high and point it towards the area you wish to supervise
(e.g. your calving pen). To test that the camera covers the area you wish to supervise, attach
the black camera antenna (2dBi) at the back of the camera and rotate it clock-wise. Connect the
camera to a 220V wall socket by using the included 12V power adaptor. Bring the fully charged
LCD-monitor and control that the camera is pointed in a desired way. When you are satisfied, attach
the camera to the wall by using the included screws.
Step by step
1.
Connect the black camera antenna (2dBi) at the back of
the camera.
2.
Use the camera foot and attach the camera to the wall
at an appropriate position, maximum 12 meters from a
220V wall socket and 25 meters from where you intend
to place the transmitting A300-antenna (10dBi).
3.
Use the LCD-monitor to check the camera angle.
Information
To extend the power cable, use an ordinary 220V extension cable or the
included low voltage cable.
We do not recommend more than 25 m of antenna cable due to increased
signal loss when using longer cables.
