System Management Interrupt
SMI (System Management Interrupt) connector is a 2-pin Berg strip, which is
also called “green” or “sleep” connector. When SMI is turned from open to
close and back to open, the system will enter sleep mode immediately. This
function is to make sure power saving is working well. In PC system, it is used to
connect to the push button SMI switch located on the case’s front panel (if there
is). The system can be forced to power saving mode by pressing the SMI switch.
