Using a number 2 Phillips screwdriver, tighten the jack screw (visible on the right side of
the card in Figure 3-18) until it is fully seated, then loosen it one half turn.

Using a number 2 Phillips screwdriver, tighten the lock screw on the left side of the card
until it is fully seated, as shown in Figure 3-19.

Return to the jack screw on the right side of the panel and finish tightening the screw.
Removing slot cards
To remove slot cards from the APX 1000 chassis proceed as follows:

Using a number 2 Phillips screwdriver, completely loosen the lock screw (on the left side
of the card, as shown in Figure 3-19).

Using a number 2 Phillips screwdriver, completely loosen the jack screw (on the right side
of the card as shown in Figure 3-18) with two counterclockwise turns.
