the battery pack

The 4U40 cord-free headset has a built-in Memory
Backup feature that allows up to 3 minutes for the
the replacement of the unit's battery without losing
phone numbers stored in the heasdet's memory. To
intall or replace the rechargeable battery in your
phone, follow these steps:

1. 

Remove the Remote's bettery cover.

2. 

Plug the battery's cable into the Remote. The

plastic connection will mate only one way. If the
cable does not fit properly, make sure the bat-
tery's connector is properly aligned.

3. 

Replace the battery cover.

For Optimum battery performance:

Charge the new battery for at least 12-16 hours
before using your phone.

Do not allow the battery to completely discharge.

Return the Remote to the Base Unit after use.
