7.12.1 Adjustable parameters in P-SIMV mode
7.13 V-SIMV mode
In V-SIMV mode, it is possible to set both pressure support
for spontaneous breaths and a fixed volume for the
mandatory breaths. In addition, the lower pressure level is
specified. The mandatory breaths are triggered by the
frequency setting.
Inspiration and exhalation phases are generally specified
by the patient’s spontaneous breathing, by the trigger
parameter, and by parameters F, Ti min, Ti max, and Ti.
The graph shows the currently regulated airway pressure
over time.
