when you pull it up to avoid
weakening the stitches. Pull
away from you to avoid creating
extra pressure onto your baby’s

Grasp the outer strap, like a
rope, and pull it away from you,
in order to create some slack.
You must be able to slide two fingers
under your baby’s chin at all times.
This is a way of checking for
slumping.
The baby is badly positioned.
The baby is suspended by the crotch
which puts his/her back into an
inappropriate position.
Your baby’s head needs to be
turned regularly.
