A variation on the standard hug
hold. Great for a newborn, as it
respects the foetal position and the
natural opening of the hips.
Also called «Double Hammock
style».

Spread the outer strap on the
baby’s back, knee pit to knee pit,
shoulder to shoulder.

Grasp the bottom side of the
outer strap and fold it over onto
your shoulder.

Make sure to keep the baby in
a seated position, knees above
the bottom, hips tipped as to
create a rounded back.
Place both legs through the
outer strap.

To ensure a correct position
of your baby (deeply seated,
knees up at belly button level),
hold onto your baby’s thighs and
bottom, and lift whilst tipping
the hips, taking care not to
overspread the legs. Ensure that
both bottom and thighs are fully
covered by the wrap.

Hold your baby onto your
freed shoulder.

Slip your forearm through
the strap from below ready for
your baby.

Grasp the bottom side of the
inner strap and pull it down and
away from you on your arm,
until your arm is fully extended.

Start from the basic knot.
Lower the 3rd layer and remove
the outer strap from your
shoulder.
