Disassemble jack and clean and re-pack
acme screw and thrust bearing after each
season.

Wheel Bearing Maintenance
CAUTION:
Do not remove wheel hubs with
wheels and tires attached.
WARNING:
Block and support the spreader
securely before removing the tires and wheels
to prevent it from falling.
Thoroughly clean all parts in solvent and check for
bearing wear or cracked spindles. Repack bearings by
forcing grease between the rollers. Assemble washer
and nut on spindle and rotate hub while tightening the
nut to 20-25 ft/lbs. Back off the nut until it becomes
loose. While rotating the hub, hand tighten the nut, and
alight the cotter pin hole in the spindle with the slot in
the nut. There should be .001-.005 in of end play. Insert
cotter pin and bend it around the nut.
