Select decoder mode
You can set the decoder for playing back DTS audio signals.

In most cases, setting the input mode to
AUTO
is recom-
mended.
Set the remote control for
Sound Projector
operation.
Select the decoder mode by pressing
IN-MODE
several times.

The Decoder automatically sets itself to the input
signal

The Decoder processes DTS signals exclusively

Playback of 2-channel signal sources with
surround sound
The unit can process 2-channel signal sources for 5.1/7.1 channel playback in
such a way that by switching the surround mode, you can enjoy a number of
surround sound effects.

The surround modes are only available if the sound field programmes have
been deactivated (page 26). Moreover, the sound mode has to be set to
5-Beam mode 2, stereo-plus 3-Beam mode or to 3-Beam mode (page 20).
Press several times to select surround mode.

The surround modes are available if another sound beam mode is selected
as the stereo playback.

If you select an input signal source (page 23), the surround mode that was
used for the previous input signal source selected is retained.

If you switch this unit off and on again, the surround mode used for the
previous input signal source selected before switching off is retained.

The surround modes are only available if the sound field programmes have
been deactivated (page 26).
