Depending on which host link is attached, the array of performing functions
may vary.
Audio Out
The audio out (3.5 mm phone jack) port is capable of outputting a stereo sound
signal. It cannot be used as an sound input port.
LED
The LED lights up once the USB-C Display Dock is connected to a power source
such as the host (bus-powered mode) or an external USB-C power adapter
(Power Delivery). Note that there is a minimal power consumption in idle mode.
Important Note:
Do not unplug the power supply via USB-C charging cable
(from external USB-C power supply) during use! Doing so will
result in a short interruption of power to all devices connected
to the USB-C Display Dock. This could lead to loss of unsaved
data or damage the hard drive!
Does not work with Apple USB SuperDrive.
The USB-C Display Dock may become hot on the surface
during use, whether it is in bus-power or Power Delivery
mode. The heat evolves from the various chipsets inside the
housing and is normal for such a device. The surface may get
up to 48 C which is far below the regulator's guidlines.
Through the aluminum surface, the heat is dissipated evenly
to the surrounding air. It must be made sure that the USB-C
Display Dock's surface is never covered or otherwise impeded
from its cooling function.
The USB-C Display Dock must not be opened. If the housing is
opened, the warranty may be void.
The USB-C Display Dock is protected by patent.
