Important safety information for battery
-
Two AAA batteries are required for the remote control.
-
Use your thumb to press and push down the battery cover on the back, then remove
the cover and take out or insert the battery. Then place the battery cover back back
in place.
-
These (non-rechargeable)AAA batteries must not be recharged.
-
Different types of batteries or new and used batteries must not be mixed.
-
Batteries must be inserted with the correct polarity.
-
Exhausted batteries must be removed from the appliance and safely disposed of.
-
The batteries should be removed if the remote control is going to be stored unused
for a long period of time.
-
The power terminals must not be short-circuited.
Resetting the thermal cut out
-
The appliance is equipped with Electronic Safety Control (E.S.C). This is a safety device that
switches the fire off if, for any reason, the appliance overheats, e.g. when covered. If the fire
stops operating while the flame effect continues to work normally, this indicates that E.S.
Control has been activated. E.S. Control can only be re-set after the appliance has cooled
down, and the appliance has been reset. E.S. Control can be reset as follows:
-
Switch off the appliance (Manual switch) and leave it off for approximately 10-15 minutes.
-
Remove anything that may be obstructing the fan heater outlet, fan blades, etc. Before
doing so, make sure that the power supply is disconnected at the plug socket outlet.
-
Switch on the appliance ,and E.S. Control will be reset.
-
Make sure that the appliance is functioning correctly. If E.S. Control is activated again, the
appliance should be checked by a qualified electrician.
Window open detection
If the sensor detects a rapid drop in room temperature, it will be identified as an open
window, the warning icon ‘OPn’ will be displayed and heating will turn off
automatically. The fire will return to normal operating mode once the warning has been
overridden manually (by operating touch control panel or remote control or heat button
on APP).
