Slide the ON / OFF switch
1
to the “ON” position.
The rechargeable battery
9
charging period using the solar
cell
2
depends on the intensity of the sunlight and the angle
incidence of the light on the solar cell
2
. Place the solar cell
2
as perpendicular as possible to the angle of incidence of the
light. In this way you will receive the highest light levels. Replace
the rechargeable battery
9
if the light output does not improve
after charging (see “Replacing the rechargeable battery“).
Preparing for use
Note:
The solar cell
2
also works as a twilight sensor, while the
motion sensor
3
only responds to movement.
The “ON“ position for the ON / OFF switch
1
features
the following functions:
If the orientation light is constantly lit up, it will automatically switch
on or off once the solar cell
2
detects dusk or dawn. To ensure a
long operating life, the LEDs will not be fully powered in this setting.
If the rechargeable battery is fully charged, the charge will be suffi-
cient for approx. 8 hours of lighting (see Fig. G). As soon as the mo-
tion sensor
3
detects movement, the product will switch to
particularly bright light (see Fig. H). While the particularly bright
light is switched on, the LEDs will be run at full power. Approx. 40
seconds after the last movement has been detected, the product
will return to functioning as a constantly lit-up orientation light.
Installing the product
Install the product in accordance with Figures A, E:
1. Rotate the solar cell housing
4
anticlockwise out of the lamp
shade
5
(see Fig. A).
2. Move the ON / OFF switch
1
into the “ON” position to enable
the product switching on during darkness.
