Use with DC Connect
Voice Coil Offset (DC Offset)
SC Amp can be used with external voltage sources in order to apply an offset to the stimulus sent to a
speaker under test.
The example in
Figure 7-6
shows SoundCheck controlling Listen’s DC Connect in order to supply a DC
Offset voltage to SC Amp.

The SoundCheck system is connected via USB to DC Connect
z
DC Connect output is connected to the DC Offset input of SC Amp
z
The SoundCheck sound card Output 1 is connected to the Line In of SC Amp
z
A DC Connect Stimulus Step in a test sequence controls DC Connect to send a 1 VDC signal to SC
Amp
z
The sine sweep stimulus from the SoundCheck sequence has a positive offset of 1 V applied to it
as show in
Figure 7-6.
Note:
Use with other offset sources is similar. Any voltage supply can be used to
apply up to ±3.5 VDC or Low frequency AC (<5 Hz).
