The feeder does power up - no voltage,
nocoldfeed.
Thewirefeederpowerupbutthereisno
output when the trigger is pulled. The
shielding gas is flowing and the drive
rollsturn.
No shielding gas, or low shielding gas
flow.
Inconsistent wire feeding or wire not
feedingbutdriverollsturning.
1.Theworkleadisdisconnectedorisa
poorelectricalconnection.
2.ThepowersourceisOFF.
1.The contactor coil connections are
loose.
2.Thecontactorhasfailed.
1.ThegassupplyisOFForempty.
2.Thegashoseiscutorcrushed.
3.Dirtordebrisisinthesolenoid.
4.Thereisaloosesolenoidconnection.
5.Thesolenoidhasfailed.
6.Dirtordebrisintheshieldinggasfilter.
1.Theguncableiskinkedand/ortwisted
2.The wire is jammed in the gun and
cable.

1.Connecttheworkleadtotheworkina
locationfreeofdirt,rustandpaint.
2.TurnONthepowersource.
1.Verifythecontactorcoilconnections.
2.Replacethecontactor.
1.VerifythegassupplyisONandflow-
ing.
2.Routethegashosesoitavoidssharp
corners and make sure nothing is on
top of it. Repair or replace damaged
hoses.
3. Apply filtered shop at 80psi to the
solenoidtoremovedirt.
4.Checkthatallconnectionsareingood
condition.
5.Replacethesolenoid.
6.Removetheshieldinggasfilter.Apply
filteredshopairat80psitotheoutlet
(malethreadside)oftheshieldinggas
filter.Replacetheshieldinggasfilterif
needed.
1.Keeptheguncableasstraightaspos-
sible.Avoidsharpcornersorbendsin
thecable.
2.Removethegunfromthewirefeeder
and pull the jammed wire out of the
gunandcable.
3.Blowdirtoutofthelinerwithlowpres-
sure(40psiorless).Replacetheliner
ifworn.
4.Useonlycleanelectrode.Usequality
electrode, like L-50 or L-56 from
LincolnElectric.
5.Replacethecontacttip.
6.Verifytheproperpartsareinstalled.
7.Adjust the tension arm per the
Instruction Manual. Most electrodes
feedwellatatensionarmsettingof"3".
8.Verify the spool of wire moves with
minimaleffort.
9.Replacethedriverollsifwornorfilled
withdirt.
