7.7 DDLM_Slave_Diag
The Master device can send a request to the Slave device for diagnostic
information at any time.
This encoder provides 16-byte diagnostic information.
Diagnostic information consists of two parts: a standard diagnostic information
(bytes 0 … 5) and an extended diagnostic information (bytes 6 … 15). The
standard diagnostic information complies with the guidelines contained in the
“Profibus specification – Normative parts according to the European Standard
EN 50 170 volume 2” publication. While the extended diagnostic information
contains the device related encoder diagnostic information; the DP-Slave
specific diagnostic is entered in this area. The extended diagnostic information
complies with the specifications contained in the “Profibus-DP Profile For
Encoders” publication. The length of the extended diagnostic information for
encoder is specified in byte 6 of the diagnostic message.
