Pos = device transmits only position value (Class 1 and Class 2).
Pos + vel = device transmits both position and velocity values (Class 2(+VEL)).

Counts per revolution
parameter can be used to program a user specific
resolution each turn (single turn resolution).
This function is active if bit 1 and bit 3 of byte 10 are set to ”1” (see section
“6.4.1 Byte 10 - Operating parameters“).

Allowed values are equal to or lower than “Hardware counts per revolution”
value. We suggest setting power of 2 values (1, 2, 4, … 2048, 4096, …).
Setting a value greater than allowed causes the resolution to be forced to
“Hardware counts per revolution” value.

Total resolution
This parameter sets the number of distinguishable steps over the total
measuring range.
This function is active if bit 1 and bit 3 of byte 10 are set to ”1” (see section
“6.4.1 Byte 10 - Operating parameters“).

Allowed values are equal to or lower than “Total hardware resolution” value.
Setting a value greater than allowed causes the resolution to be forced to “Total
hardware resolution” value.
Number of revolutions
=
We recommend the “Number of revolutions” to be set to a power of 2. This is
meant to avoid problems when using the device in endless operation (when
passing the physical zero) and entering the "Dead Zone" (see section “6.8 "Dead
Zone"”).
