Mechanical safety
•
Install the device following strictly the information in the
section “3 - Mounting instructions”;
•
mechanical installation has to be carried out with stationary
mechanical devices;
•
do not disassemble the unit;
•
do not tool the unit;
•
delicate electronic equipment: handle with care; do not subject
the unit to knocks or shocks;
•
protect the unit against acid solutions or chemicals that may
damage it;
•
respect the environmental characteristics declared by
manufacturer;
•
we suggest installing the unit providing protection means
against waste, especially swarf as turnings, chips, or filings;
should this not be possible, please make sure that adequate
cleaning measures (as for instance brushes, scrapers, jets of
compressed air, etc.) are in place in order to prevent the sensor
and the magnetic ring from jamming.
2 - Identification
The sensor can be identified through the label's data
(order code and serial number). Information is listed
in the delivery document. For any information on
the technical characteristics referred to the order
code, please consult the catalogue.
3 - Mounting instructions
Make sure that the mechanical system complies
with the parallelism tolerances admitted for the gap
between the sensor 1 and the magnet ring 2.
Sensor can be fixed by means of two M4 screws
inserted through the provided holes.
Bushings are designed for accepting cylinder head
bolts 3 type TCEI M4 x 20 on one side and
countersunk head bolts 4 type TSP M4 x 20 on the
other side.
Cylinder head bolts 3 allow a small play useful for
centring the sensor 1 (Figure 2).
While countersunk head bolts 4 allow an accurate
“self-centring” installation (Figure 3).
